"Bestow upon me a heart ... illumined with the light of Thy love"

After almost 4 months at our pioneer post things still feel out of place. Like the memory is trying to assert itself into the new space with the former reality and it certainly does not fit at all.  From the tastes (Mauby made from a root, breadfruit, ackee), the sights (water, water everywhere - from the sky, the roads, and in the circling sea), the sounds (cricket frogs, ice cream truck playing "home home on the range"), the culture ("Alright, alright")..from everything there is a sense of foreignness.  Of course because reality has changed but the mind is stubborn to let go of its last comforts. But these past four months have been a kind teacher...oh yes there is one - one truth that feels familiar...that spans the illusionary distances..What brings everything together in a perfect sense of harmony - all pasts and all possible futures making peace with one another is L O V E. Of course. It is so simple. So human. So soulful. Near to God. Being at home. And whenever and wherever and in whomsoever L O V E finds itself there is. just is.  Joyful gratitude.  On to love!
